Soldiers (troops) جند

In a dream they are the soldiers of God, Mighty and Majestic: they are the angels of mercy, and the rabble are the angels of punishment.

If a person sees that he is a soldier drawing a king's pay in his register, he will take charge of an office over lands without effort.

Whoever sees that he registered his name in the [army] register will obtain good by which he hopes for sufficiency, or he will obtain less than he wishes.

Whoever sees as if he is a soldier in the armies: if he is sick he will die; otherwise it indicates grief and loss.

Whoever sees as if he becomes a soldier or goes out to the army camp, for the sick that is a sign of death; it may indicate disappointment and sorrow; and movement in travel. For slaves it indicates that they will be honored without being freed, or that they will be freed.

Whoever sees soldiers gathered together, it indicates the destruction of those upon falsehood and victory for those in the right. A small number of soldiers is a sign of victory. Seeing a soldier with a whip or arrows in his hand is a sign of a good livelihood.

Whoever sees in a dream soldiers coming from Syria, or from the direction of Iraq, or from the direction of Yemen, that is a sign of discord or [the victory of] the one in the right. Seeing armies indicates fear. If the army of the unbelievers is larger than the army of Islam, victory in waking life will be for Islam. Twenty and a thousand are glad tidings, likewise a hundred, likewise three thousand and five thousand: all of that is glad tidings for those fighting against the dissolute or the unbelievers. The word "hundred" may indicate what God the Exalted brings about at the head of every hundred years [the centennial renewer]. A thousand, for one who sees it in a dream, may indicate seeing the Night of Power [better than a thousand months]. An army camp, if a prophet, a king or a scholar is with it, is victory for those who affirm God's oneness.

Whoever sees an army arriving at a town or a street, rain will come to them that year. It is also said that soldiers are victory for the believers and vengeance on the oppressors.
