In a dream it is a hypocritical hired worker through whose hands money passes and who is entrusted with it. Drinking water from it is lawful gain and a pleasant life.
Whoever sees that he drank half of what is in it, half of his life has passed; if he drank less or more than that, its interpretation is what remains or has passed of his life.
If he sees that he drank all that was in the jar, all of his life has passed; the same applies to all other vessels. If it is as though he drank from a narrow-necked jar, he will try to seduce a slave-girl.
Whoever sees as though a jar of water was on his palm, and it fell and broke while the water remained, his wife is pregnant and will die, and the child will survive. It is said that the jar is a woman, a servant or a slave. If it is full of oil, honey or milk, it may signify, for people of worldly affairs, a grain-pit, a storehouse or a purse. Likewise all other earthenware vessels — mugs, pitchers and the like — take the same course as the jar. Seeing a jar signifies a riding animal, or a wife who toils and strives much, unless it is made of copper, in which case it indicates a woman of high standing.
