It is a person's covering, and what he leaves of his wealth at his death and during his life.

Fatness of the body and strength are strength of religion and faith.

If he sees as though his body is the body of a snake, he will reveal the enmity he conceals.

Whoever sees as though he has a ram's fat tail will have a child blessed with provision from whom he will make his living.

Whoever sees his body made of iron or of earthenware will die.

If he sees an increase in his body without harm, it is an increase of blessing upon him. A person's body in a dream points to whatever conceals him and in which he is embodied, such as clothing, a wife, a dwelling, a beloved and a child, and to whatever protects him from harm, such as the ruler, the master and the one in authority over him. Its strength, beauty and plumpness indicate the good state of whichever of these it points to, while its weakness, change of color and stench indicate [the bad] state of what it points to. A body that is plump and radiant in a dream signifies high standing and victory over enemies. The skin stands for protection for a human being and others. For a human it stands for his father and mother, his ruler, his wealth, his house, his garment, his wife, his land, his health and his sickness, his worship, his faith and his polytheism. Skin may signify a person's enemy, and his tale-bearing friend, because it will bear witness against its owner on the Day of Resurrection. Skin may signify patience and endurance in affairs [jild = skin; tajallud = endurance].

Whoever sees his skin has become beautiful in a dream, it signifies good, rest, and recovery from illnesses. If he is dead and his skin is seen to be beautiful, it signifies that he is in bliss.

If he sees it thick or black, it signifies that he is in torment. Blackness of the skin in a dream is lordship [su'dud, from the same root as sawad = blackness] in abandoning religion.

Redness of complexion in interpretation is prestige and relief. It is said that if whiteness is mixed with the redness, its owner will attain honor. Yellowness of complexion is sickness. Whoever is black and sees in a dream that he is white will be afflicted with weakness, humiliation and trial. If he sees that his body and face have become red, he will have long worry after success.

Whoever sees his body made of iron or of stone will die. The hides of all other animals are inheritance, and it is said that hides are houses if he owns them.
