Dream meaning · al-Nabulsi

Ice / Frost جليد

In a dream, if it is seen in its proper season, it signifies the departure of worries and sorrows and the humbling of enemies and enviers. If the water freezes, destroys the trees and blocks the doors, it signifies the ruin of livelihood and the halting of travel. Sometimes ice (jalīd) signifies the tough, enduring (jalad) among men, and lashing (jald) by flogging. There is no good in ice, because of its stone-like hardness, its great dryness, and what is derived from its name. So whoever has it come down upon him or falls into it, an affliction will befall him that he must endure with fortitude; it may be a flogging from the ruler or someone else. Frozen water (jamad) is worry and torment, unless a person sees that he drew water, put it in a vessel, and it froze in place; that is silent wealth (gold and silver) that is stored up and remains. An ice-house is the king’s treasury.
