Pitch (tar) قار

In a dream it is a covering and protection from heat. It may signify the quality conveyed by its name. It may signify money, because Ibn Sirin, may God the Exalted have mercy on him, held everything black to be money. It may signify profit and repentance, as has been interpreted, as also with charcoal and ebony. Pitch signifies steadfastness, because of the saying: what is coated with pitch does not change. Pitch may also signify ships and engravings.
