Fruit ثمرة

Seeing fruit in a dream, if it is sweet, indicates provision, benefit and useful knowledge. Sour fruit is the same for one whom eating it suits, while for one whom it does not suit it is unlawful wealth and an increase in his illness. Fruits that have no [a word is missing in the source], eating and owning them indicates religion, or contending with non-Arab women and men, or slave-girls, or the mute among those. Fruit enclosed in a husk is provision with toil, and the toil is according to its size. Fruit with pits is provision in which there is a slight doubt, or a liability, or from which the zakat has not been fully paid. Fruit with no pit and no peel indicates the easing of affairs and lawful provision with nothing mixed in it. If the fruit is in its season and ripe, it is immediate good; and if it is out of its season, it is benefit after a period, according to how near or far the fruit's source [season] is. Seeing fruits out of their season is a sign of provision; eating them out of season is making up for something good that was missed, the easing of what is difficult, and recovering what one feared would be lost. Every fruit that grows in clusters indicates harmony and gathering together, and the reverse. Every foreign fruit indicates its land of origin or work there. Fruits are spouses, children, contracts of wealth, trades, branches of knowledge, properties, righteous deeds, family, relatives, joys, or healing from illnesses for whoever owns them. They may indicate the drinks made from them; likewise fragrant plants indicate their water or oil. Whoever picks from a tree something other than its fruit is persisting in a matter that is not lawful for him, or demanding something not due to him. Picking fruit from the base of the trees is disputing with a noble man.

Whoever sees that he picked various fruits from trees will obtain knowledge and understanding of religion from men of importance in knowledge and standing. If he picks them while sitting, he will obtain provision without toil.

Whoever sees a fruit-bearing tree in winter and is impressed by it, it is a man whom he has been compelled to turn to and whom he imagines to be wealthy; if he picks something from it, his wealth will go to that man in proportion to what he picked; and if he does not pick from it, he will escape even [neither gaining nor losing]. Fruits are wealth and new, fresh honor. Whoever sees that he is picking from a grafted tree something other than its fruit, it indicates a dutiful in-law, or a partner from whom he will see happiness, increase and good. Fruits that grow in the mountains, owned by no one, are knowledge, provision and gifts from God the Exalted, for which he owes no one any favor.
