Vinegar خل

In a dream it is wealth with scrupulous piety, blessing, long life, and little amusement and merriment, for one who eats it with bread. Its dregs are paltry wealth of little benefit and weakness. Vinegar and its small dish are an unwholesome slave-woman. If a person sees that he is drinking vinegar, that signifies enmity with the people of his household, because of the puckering it causes in the mouth, and the mouth is the house of kinship. Drinking vinegar for a prisoner signifies release. It is said that vinegar that is genuine signifies provision and blessing, while what has been made into vinegar signifies exerting effort in [seeking] means, toil and arduous striving. Vinegar [khall] may signify a defect [khalal] in a wife, a child or one's work. It may signify safety from fear and the warding off of harm and enemies. It may signify worship and bearing its hardships. Vinegar [khall] may signify a khill, that is, a friend.
