That is, a seller of bread. Seeing him signifies security from fear and a comfortable life. Seeing the baker may signify a child and love. The baker is a just, gentle, compassionate ruler. The baker of white bread is a man of pleasant living who guides people to obtaining noble provision; if he takes a price for it, it is talk about the need. Whoever sees [this] will obtain great wealth and plenty. If he sees that he bought bread from a baker without seeing the price, the baker is a ruler capable of doing good to the noble and the lowly, [and he will be good to] whoever resorts to him with what does not harm him; he guides people to benefits and works they engage in by lawful means [the text is garbled here]. If he takes bread from the baker, he has gained a livelihood and grief has left him. If the baker is one associated with the ruler, he will be a beneficial man because people need him, and there will be some malice in his dealings because of his working with fire. The baker is a man of talk and trouble in his livelihood, and every craft that fire touches is talk and dispute.
