In a dream it is worship in waking life, or a prayer that the dreamer will perform. Supplication signifies reaching one's goal, and it signifies a child. If the supplication is with overwhelming intensity and screaming, it signifies calamities or civil strife. Supplication may signify scarcity of rain if there is clamor in it. If supplication signifies prayer: if the supplication is a known one, the prayer is obligatory; if it is other than remembrance of God the Exalted, it is a hidden intention of showing off. If the supplication is secret, he will be granted a blessed child. If he sees people gathered for supplication, it is a gathering of children, growth and blessing in favors and honor, and the departure of misery. If he sees that he refrained from supplication, he will enter the state of pilgrim sanctity, just as if he saw that he entered the state of pilgrim sanctity, he would refrain from supplication.
Whoever sees that he supplicates to God the Exalted, or is supplicated for, will obtain good and happiness. Supplication signifies the fulfillment of needs. It is said that supplication signifies being answered, especially if it is in one of the houses of God the Exalted, such as a mosque or a congregational mosque. If he sees that he supplicated to his Lord in darkness, he will be saved from grief. If he sees that he is calling upon a man, he is humbly beseeching him out of fear.
