Dream meaning · al-Nabulsi

Staff (stick, cane) عصا

In a dream it is a man of noble lineage, powerful and helpful. Whoever sees a staff in his hand will seek the help of a man of noble lineage and power in whom there is hypocrisy, will reach his aim and what he wants, will be strengthened by his wealth and will defeat his enemy. If it is hollow and he is leaning on it, his wealth will go and he will conceal that from people. If he sees that it broke: if he is a governor, he will be dismissed; if a merchant, God will take away his trade. If he sees that he struck the ground he stands on with it, he will prevail over that land, or over the owner of the plot on which he stands, if it is something disputed.

(Whoever sees) that he turned into a staff will die soon.

(Whoever sees) that his staff broke will fall seriously ill and his strength will leave him. The staff is a strong man one relies on.

(Whoever sees) that he is walking with a staff has resolved to board a ship. The staff signifies commanding and forbidding, victory over enemies and reaching one's goal. If the staff is of palm stalk [jarid], it signifies being stripped [tajrid]; if it is of almond [lawz], it signifies the departure [zawal] of whatever good or evil he is in; if it is of peach [khawkh], he may be a hypocrite in his religion. The staff may signify a snake or sorcery.

(Whoever sees) that he struck someone with a staff will lash him with his tongue.

(Whoever sees) that he struck a rock with a staff and water gushed out of it: if he is poor, he will become rich; if rich, his wealth will increase; it may be wholesome provision. The staff may be a man corrupt in religion, because it is of wood, and wood is a hypocritical man.
