Dream meaning · al-Nabulsi

Slave-woman (maidservant) جارية

In a dream she is trade for one who owns her, buys her, or is given her as a gift. Whoever approaches a slave-woman to buy her approaches a trade. The jariya [slave-woman; literally 'flowing'] is matters that are flowing [jariya], whether in the past or in the future. Whoever sees an adorned Muslim slave-woman will hear joyful news from where he does not expect; if she is an unbeliever, he will hear joyful news mixed with something indecent.

If he sees a slave-woman with a frowning face, he will hear distressing news.

If he sees an emaciated slave-woman, he will be struck by worry and poverty.

If he sees a naked slave-woman, he will lose in his trade and be disgraced in it.

If he sees that he obtained a virgin [slave-woman], he will own a productive estate or engage in profitable trade. The slave-woman is news in proportion to her beauty, her clothing and her perfume: if she is covered, it is discreet news together with religion; if she flaunts herself, the news will be widely known; if she is veiled, the news will be ambiguous; if she is uncovered, it is news that will spread; and a full-breasted [grown] woman is news that is hoped for.
