In a dream it is sorrow.
(Whoever sees) that he rode a Bactrian (two-humped) camel and it was obedient to him, his need will be fulfilled by a non-Arab man; if it was an Arabian camel, he will be granted the pilgrimage (Hajj). If he dismounted from it on the road, he will fall ill and that journey will become difficult for him; then he will recover and his affair will be made easy for him.
(If he sees) a camel attacking him, sorrow, illness or a dispute with a foolish man will befall him.
(If he sees) that it became unmanageable for him, grief will befall him from an enemy, and that enemy will be strong to that extent. If he took hold of its halter and led it along a known road, he will guide a man out of error to righteousness; if he led it on a road other than its road, he will lead him to corruption. Leading a camel by its halter may indicate that he will control the affairs of a man who obeys him in all his matters. The Bactrian camel is a non-Arab man, the Arabian camel is a Bedouin Arab man, and the rutting camel is a rich enemy.
(If he sees) that he bought camels, he will humor his enemies and win them over so that they obey him. If he rode one of them, he will travel; if he rode it bareback, he will defeat his enemy.
(If he sees) that he herded Arabian camels, he will be given authority over Arabs; if they are Bactrian, it is authority over non-Arabs. If he ate a camel's head, he will backbite a great man.
(Whoever sees) that he rode a camel will make a journey, and perhaps fall ill with an illness; likewise if he sees it lying down. If he took some of its fur, he will obtain lasting wealth and save it. If he sees it in his walled garden or orchard, he will obtain good, blessing and joy.
(If he sees) many camels in a town, death and war will occur in that town. If he owns them, he will attain authority and power, will place men under his command and will defeat his enemy.
(If he sees) that he fell from the back of a camel, he will become poor.
(If he sees) two camels contending, war will occur between two kings, and conflict in those places.
(If he sees) a camel fighting him and breaking one of his limbs, a misfortune will strike him from his enemies, and they will fight him until he flees from before them, defeated.
(If he sees) that he slaughtered a camel (by nahr), he will obtain relief; he will defeat his enemy, kill him and overpower him. Camels indicate the oars of a ship or the speed of a ship's travel; and for one who is traveling, they indicate that his journey will be easy and fast, or otherwise; this is known from the condition in which the camels are seen in the dream. As for people in general: for one who is a runaway or a fugitive, or one involved in a dispute, or one who abandons the company of his companions, it indicates that they are people without knowledge, steadfastness or judgment, and cowardice prevails in them. Whoever falls from the back of a camel will be struck by poverty; if it kicks him, he will fall gravely ill.
(If he sees) a caravan string of camels, it indicates rain in winter.
(Whoever sees) many camels enter his town, plague will occur in it. Whoever kills a camel in his house, a man will die in that house, struck down.
(Whoever sees) a young she-camel slaughtered in his house, his hospitality in that house will be for noble people.
(Whoever sees) that he became a camel will carry heavy burdens of people's liabilities. Bactrian camels indicate a journey without hardship. Eating camel meat indicates illness; it is also said there is no harm in it. Whoever owns camels in a dream may obtain a good outcome and soundness in his religion and his belief.
(Whoever sees) camels, it may indicate evil deeds. The camel indicates a dwelling, and the ship, because it is one of the ships of the land. The camel indicates rancor, malice and taking revenge, even after a long time; and it indicates the patient man. It may indicate slowness in affairs for one who wants haste. The camel indicates provision. Bactrian camels indicate eminent people or those who travel a great deal, such as merchants by land and sea; they may indicate non-Arabs and strangers; and seeing them indicates worries, miseries, the plundering of wealth and the plundering of family. The camel may indicate the devil, and it indicates the ignorant hypocrite. Whoever rides a camel while sick will die; if he is healthy he will travel, unless he rides it in the middle of the city or sees it walking with him there, in which case it is sorrow and worry that prevents him from setting out in the land. If a woman without a husband rides it, she will marry; and if she has an absent husband, he will come back to her.
(Whoever sees) a camel entering his throat, his drinking vessel or one of his containers, it is a jinn that gets into him, or into whoever that vessel represents among his family and servants.
(Whoever sees) a camel slaughtered in his house, the master of the house will die if he is sick, or his servant boy, his slave or his chief will die, especially if it is cut up or its limbs are separated, for that is his inheritance. If he slaughtered it to eat it and there is no sick person there, it is a storehouse he will open or a bale he will untie to obtain its surplus. If the camel is in the middle of the city or among a group of people, it is a man of power who will be killed or will die; if it is slaughtered (by dhabh), he is wronged; and if it is skinned alive, his authority will go, or he will be removed from it, or his wealth will be taken.
(Whoever sees) a camel eating meat, or going around people's houses eating from every house in an unknown way, it is an epidemic that will strike people. If it is chasing them, it is a ruler, an enemy or a flood that harms people; whoever hamstrings it, breaks one of its limbs or eats it will perish in that, in proportion to what he got from it. It is also said: riding an Arabian camel is the pilgrimage. If he takes the camel's halter and leads it to a known place, he will guide a corrupt man to righteousness; and if he leads it off the road, he will guide him to corruption. Leading the camel by its rein is a sign that some chiefs will submit to him.
(Whoever sees) an Arabian camel will obtain authority over Arabs; if it is Bactrian, then over non-Arabs.
(If he sees) that he is milking camels, he will obtain wealth from a ruler; if he milks blood from it, he will obtain unlawful wealth.
(If he sees) that he (a camel) is entering a narrow place that cannot hold him and he cannot get in through it, he is following a heretical innovation.
(Whoever sees) that camels or other animals trampled him will be struck by hardship, fear and humiliation; and if he is an official, he will pay a fine.
(Whoever sees) that he obtained some camel hides will obtain wealth.
