Roast meat شواء

In a dream it is good news concerning one's livelihood. If it is undercooked, it is worry coming from a child. A fat roasted lamb is much wealth, and if it is lean, it is little wealth and a livelihood that involves toil. Whoever eats roast lamb will live on his son's earnings. Roast beef is safety for the fearful, and whoever has a pregnant wife is given the glad tidings of a male child. A roasted calf is provision and abundance for whoever eats it cooked. Whoever eats beef will be brought before a judge. Roast kid signifies a male child for whoever eats it. Everything touched by fire in waking life is, in a dream, provision that carries sin. Roasted beef is safety from fear; if the dreamer is expecting a child, it will be a boy, and the good news will be in proportion to its price. A roasted camel is a male child; if he sees that he is eating from it, he will have a son who will grow up, and he will live on his earnings. A roasted camel is safety from fear. It is said that a roasted camel is the son of a free man, refined in all kinds of learning, whom no question defeats; but if it is not fully cooked, he will not be shrewd in his work.

Whoever sees that the foreleg of a roasted camel speaks to him will gain power and be saved from destruction. Whoever sees that he is eating roasted or cooked meat will obtain provision with toil and exhaustion, and eating roast meat may bring him fear. It is said that roasting is worry and sorrow, or unlawful money.

Whoever sees that he roasted a ram will fall ill, or be punished by the ruler, or be imprisoned. Whoever roasts a ewe, his wife, his mother or a woman of his household will fall ill. Whoever roasts a lamb or a kid, his son or his slave will be afflicted with smallpox or a chronic illness. Whoever roasts a calf, if he is someone hoping for a child, is given the glad tidings of a child; otherwise fear will befall him. Roasting may signify good news of release from hardship, victory over enemies and the birth of new male children, especially if what is roasted is a calf. If it is a camel, it signifies might and celebrations over the recovery of the sick, the marriage of the unmarried, the return of the traveler, harmony and love. Roasting may signify a slanderer [play on شوى "roast" and وشى "slander"], and seeing it may signify the loss of blessings, imprisonment, disciplinary punishment, the plundering of wealth, the severing of limbs, and illnesses of fever. If he roasts meat, chicken, sausage or the like, it signifies provision and might, and he will triumph over his enemies if he is worthy of that; and if none of that applies, he will slander the person whom the roasting points to, and cause him to be robbed of his wealth and his life.
