Dream meaning · al-Nabulsi

Honeycomb شهد

In a dream it is a lawful inheritance, or money from a partnership, or provision, because fire has not touched it.

Whoever sees honeycomb placed before him by someone else has lofty, comprehensive knowledge, and people want to hear from him. If the honeycomb is by itself, it is lawful wealth from spoils; and if it is in a jug, he will obtain gathered, lawful wealth from spoils. If he sees that he is feeding it to people, he recites the Quran with a beautiful voice, and people ask him for more when they hear him.

Whoever sees that he is eating honeycomb with honey on top of it will marry a slave woman. Eating honeycomb may signify attaining martyrdom [shahada, wordplay with shahd "honeycomb"] in war and the like. [Unfiltered honeycomb] signifies mixing in one's deeds, while the strained [honey] is a sign of righteous and sincere deeds. It may signify lawful provision, or provision plundered or seized from its owners. It may signify recovery from illnesses, and honeycomb may signify testimony [shahada] that one gives or that is given in one's favor.
