Beverage (Syrup) شراب

Every yellow-colored beverage in a dream is illness. Whoever sees that he drank julep (rose syrup), oxymel (honey-vinegar syrup) or violet syrup will recover from an illness, or guard against something harmful or avoid it, and take what treats his ailment and illness. If he drank it while disliking it and unable to swallow it easily, he will fall slightly ill and then recover. If a person sees that he is drinking honey syrup, apple syrup, myrtle syrup or any delicious drink like these, for the rich it is good that opens up, and for the poor it is bad, because they do not cast their eyes on such drinks except because of an illness that befalls them and forces them to drink them. Apple syrup is benefit from a servant, or service from a severe man, and worldly gain with distress in it. Whoever drinks a beverage for an ailment in a dream, it signifies the ailment's departure if it exists; otherwise his drinking it signifies the onset of that ailment. A beverage that binds the bowels, seen in a dream, signifies stinginess or keeping secrets; a beverage that loosens the bowels indicates generosity, or revealing secrets, ruin and extravagance. Beverages that soothe headaches signify tact and gentleness with enemies and creditors and fending off opponents with good management, and likewise those that cool fever. Beverages that open obstructions of the liver signify geometry (engineering) or the manners of sacred law, setting affairs right and keeping secrets. What brings out the complexion signifies joys, delights and a good condition. Fruit syrups may signify their fruits. Rose syrup, water-lily syrup and julep signify change and not trusting one who makes promises, because they do not last long. Julep may signify affliction from women. Whoever drinks an unknown beverage in a dream, it signifies an increase in certainty and fulfillment of vows, especially if it is a fragrant drink. If it is a foul-smelling drink, or in forbidden vessels, it signifies ingratitude for blessings and apostasy from religion. If he sees a dead person handing the living a delicious, fragrant drink, he is enjoining him to do right and forbidding him from wrong, and it signifies that the dead person is in Paradise. An unknown drink may signify the drink of the people of truth and those under (divine) care. Drinking from a cup may signify drinking the cup of death.
