Seeing a poet in a dream signifies fabricated speech, and mostly commanding what is wrong and forbidding what is right; it signifies lying in one's claims. If the dreamer memorizes from him poetry containing wisdom, or the affirmation of God's oneness, or praise of the Prophet (may God bless him and grant him peace), or if the dreamer himself becomes a poet in the dream reciting such things, he will attain knowledge, guidance and a high position. A poet in a dream is a man who has gone astray and says what he does not do.
