If he sees an old man looking down on him from above, he will enable him to do good. If he sees that he followed an old man, he will follow good and abundance. If the old man is a villager, he is a coarse friend. If he is a Turk, he is a friend without loyalty if he is an unbeliever; if he is a Muslim, the dreamer will be safe from his evil. If he is a Daylamite, the Daylamite is a true friend, trustworthy and loyal. If he sees an unknown old man and dislikes him, someone will appear to him as a sincere friend while he dislikes him and does not accept his advice. Whoever sees a gathering of people who are friends in affection, without knowing whether they are old men or young men, doors of good will be opened for him. The presence of young men is mixing with the rich, and the presence of old men is mixing with friends. Old men, when seen by a woman in a dream, are her worldly life. If a young man or a beardless youth sees that he has turned into an old man, he will attain knowledge and good manners. An unknown old man who accompanies the dreamer in his dream, speaks to him or judges over him, while being of good appearance, signifies honor and rank. A Jewish old man signifies an enemy who wants to destroy the person; a Christian old man is an enemy whose enmity does no harm; and an unbelieving old man signifies an enemy of long-standing enmity. If an old man sees that he has become young, it signifies his strength and the abundance of his provision; it is also said that a renewed joy will come to him; it is also said that a deficiency will appear in his religion or his worldly life; it is also said that he will die; and it is also said that his dream signifies his greed. If an old man sees that his mother has given birth to him: if he is ill, it signifies his death; if he is healthy and poor, his circumstances will be eased; and if he is rich, his circumstances will be straitened and he will be restricted in managing his affairs and his earnings. If an old man sees that he has become a little boy, he will act ignorantly in something he does. A righteous old man signifies honor, nobility, provision, blessing and a long life. A decrepit old man is worry. Seeing an old man may signify incapacity, failure, laziness, inactivity and weakness.
