Ostrich نعامة

In a dream the female ostrich is a Bedouin Arab woman, and the male ostrich a Bedouin Arab man. It is said the ostrich [na'ama] is a blessing [ni'ma]. The ostrich indicates the deaf person, because it does not hear. It is said it indicates the announcement of a death [na'y], from its name.

(Whoever sees) a tame ostrich in his house, his life and his blessings will be long. If a ruler sees that he has an ostrich, he has a eunuch servant who guards the slave women.

(Whoever sees) that he rode an ostrich will commit something unlawful, or ride through one of the wildernesses.

(Whoever sees) that he is carrying an ostrich is carrying a sin. Whoever obtains ostrich eggs will obtain a woman. Whoever obtains its feathers will obtain money from a Bedouin man.
