Oil (ointment) دهن

In a dream all of it is grief, except olive oil. Whoever sees that he oiled his head: if it exceeded the proper amount and ran down, he will be grieved; if it did not exceed the known amount, it is adornment. If it has a foul smell, it is ugly praise in proportion to the extent and strength of its smell. Whoever [a woman] has her head oiled by a man in an objectionable place, the one acted upon should beware of the doer's flattery [mudahana, a play on duhn] and scheming. If he sees a flask of oil and takes oil from it and oils himself or oils people with it, he is a flatterer, or a false swearer, or a tale-bearer. If he sees that his face is oiled, he is a man who fasts perpetually. Oiling with mercury is good praise and a good reputation among people. Applying ointments in a dream for a swelling or a pain signifies reconciling between people, carrying dowries because of spouses, or making a pact over weapons. Whoever collects oil with water in a container will obtain money without toil. If there is musk or perfume in the oil, it is good praise for what is not in him. It is said that whoever oils his head flatters his chief.
