Dream meaning · al-Nabulsi

Bucket (well bucket) دلو

In a dream it is a man who extracts money by scheming. Whoever sees that he is drawing water with a bucket from a well and collecting the water in his vessel is collecting money he obtained by scheming. If he sees that he empties it into something other than a vessel, that money will not stay long before it goes, or its benefits leave him. If he waters an orchard with it, he will obtain a woman with it, or obtain something from her; if the orchard bears fruit, he will obtain a child from her according to what he sees of that orchard's fruits. If he sees an old well and draws from it for camels, livestock or people, he is doing the best and noblest of deeds of righteousness, in proportion to his strength and his diligence in it; he is like the shepherd who pours water for his flock of camels and sheep.

Whoever sees that he is lowering a bucket into an old well and watering animals is showing off in his work for religion or worldly ends, in proportion to his strength and effort.

Whoever sees that he is lowering a bucket for himself alone is striving in his work for the good of his worldly life, in proportion to his strength in drawing the bucket for his worldly life alone.

Whoever sees that he draws the bucket from the well and washes himself with it: if he is imprisoned, he will be saved and attain money and happiness. Whoever lowers a bucket into a well and has a pregnant wife will be granted a male child; if he has no pregnant wife, he is seeking provision: if water comes out in the bucket, he will attain that provision. If he has merchandise on a journey, it will come back and reach him. If he has a sick person, that person will recover and be freed. If he is imprisoned, he will be saved; otherwise he will gain access to a ruler or a person of authority for a need.

Whoever sees that he stood at a well with a bucket in his hand wanting to draw with it, that is good, and he will obtain money. The well may be a woman, for 'well' is feminine. If the one drawing with the bucket is a seeker of knowledge, the well is his teacher from whom he gains his knowledge, and the water he has collected is his share and portion.
