A pearl necklace in a dream is, for women, their beauty and adornment. A necklace strung of pearls and coral is scrupulous piety and awe along with memorization of the Quran, according to the purity, beauty and abundance of the pearls. The jewel is his deeds, their extent and their outcome. A woman's necklace is her husband or her child. A necklace on a man's neck: if he is a student of the Quran, he will complete it; if a student of jurisprudence, he will master it; if he is under a covenant or contract, he will fulfill it. If none of that applies and he is single, he will marry a woman who knows the Quran well. If he has a pregnant wife, a boy will be born to him who will be a scholar or a judge — unless its string breaks and its arrangement scatters: then if there is a covenant on his neck, he will break it; if he has memorized the Quran, he will forget it and neglect it; otherwise knowledge will escape him and be lost to him. When strings are gathered together, the jewels among them are Quran, the pearls are Sunnah practices, and the rest of the gems are wise sayings, words of righteousness and jurisprudence.
(Whoever sees) that he wears one or two pearl necklaces — strung pearls in interpretation are the speech of God the Exalted and words of righteousness — he will be one of the bearers of the Quran, accompanied by trustworthiness, scrupulousness, righteousness and devotion in religion according to the necklace's beauty and luster; or he will be one who carries on his neck a trust, a covenant and a pledge.
(Whoever sees) that he wears many collars and necklaces and is too weak to bear them will be too weak to act on his knowledge and uphold it. If a woman sees that she wears a necklace or collar, whatever soundness or corruption is in it, its interpretation concerns her husband or her guardian, or the trust she takes upon herself.
