Aqiqa (birth sacrifice) عقيقة

In a dream it is good news of the arrival of an absent person, the recovery of a sick person or the release of a prisoner. It may signify an increase in faith and upholding the Sunnah. If in the dream he slaughters what may lawfully be slaughtered in waking life, or does what ought to be done, it signifies his good conduct in what he is engaged in of the affairs of his worldly life and the Hereafter. If he slaughters a pig for people, or serves them carrion knowing that it is forbidden, it is an indication of his disobedience to his parents or to his Lord.
