In a dream it is interpreted as the imam [the ruler]; whatever deficiency or increase occurs in it, attribute it to the imam and to the dreamer's religion.
(Whoever sees) Mecca as his dwelling: if he is a slave he will be freed, because God Most High freed it from the tyrants; if he is free, he will attain honor from the ruler, and people will take refuge with him for knowledge he teaches them or for influence with the ruler, or he has a beautiful daughter whose hand will be sought from him. Whoever puts Mecca behind his back will part from his chief or his ruler.
(Whoever sees) Mecca demolished prays little. Mecca may indicate, for one who enters it or owns it, a beautiful bride with many suitors. Entering Mecca is repentance for the sinner, Islam for the unbeliever, and a wife for the unmarried. If the dreamer is in a dispute, it indicates his prevailing in his dispute. Entering Mecca may indicate safety from fear.
(Whoever sees) that he set out for Mecca to perform the pilgrimage will be granted the pilgrimage, God Most High willing; if he is ill, his illness will be prolonged, and he may die of it and enter Paradise.
(Whoever sees) that he stayed in Mecca in a lodging where he had stayed before will take charge of an authority he had held for another period before that.
(Whoever sees) that he is residing near the Sanctuary in Mecca will be returned to the most decrepit old age. If he sees that he is in Mecca with the dead, he will die a martyr. Whoever finds that Mecca has become his home will settle there.
(Whoever sees) that he is in Mecca visiting the Kaaba, while he headed there for trade alone, will be greedy for this world.
(Whoever sees) that he is on the road to Mecca will perform the pilgrimage. Whoever sees it fertile, it is good; whoever sees it barren, the opposite.
