A desert wilderness (mafāza, a word related to “fawz,” triumph) in a dream signifies escaping from hardship into ease, from narrowness into spaciousness, returning from sin to repentance, from loss to profit, and from sickness to health. Whoever sees himself in a desert wilderness or in a ruin while he has become poor will die. Walking in the desert wilderness means plunging into a matter that brings no benefit.
Whoever sees himself in open land (barr) will obtain relief, honor and comfort from some piety (birr) and devotion he has performed or that has been performed for him, in proportion to the vastness of that land. The open desert signifies joy and happiness in proportion to its vastness, its crops and its greenery.
