In a dream it is inability to achieve something he is aiming for.
Whoever sees that he is lame will obtain knowledge and understanding of the law and an increase in religion. Lameness also signifies travel.
Whoever sees that his right leg became ailing, broken or dislocated, and there is a wound on it, his son will fall ill. If he sees that in his left leg and he has a daughter, she will be asked for in marriage; if he has no daughter, a daughter will be born to him. If his leg breaks and he intends to travel, let him stay and not leave. If it is dislocated, his wife will fall ill. If one of his shins becomes longer than the other, he will travel on a journey, and his journey will not last long before he dies.
Whoever sees that he is lame or crippled, or that his legs have become heavy, or that he is crawling, that is a weakness in his ability to reach what he seeks. Lameness may signify an increase in lifespan, religion and knowledge. If he swore an oath, it will be kept, because of His saying, the Exalted:
لَّيْسَ عَلَى ٱلْأَعْمَىٰ حَرَجٌ وَلَا عَلَى ٱلْأَعْرَجِ حَرَجٌ وَلَا عَلَى ٱلْمَرِيضِ حَرَجٌ ۗ وَمَن يُطِعِ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ يُدْخِلْهُ جَنَّـٰتٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ ۖ وَمَن يَتَوَلَّ يُعَذِّبْهُ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا
“There is not upon the blind any guilt or upon the lame any guilt or upon the ill any guilt [for remaining behind]. And whoever obeys Allāh and His Messenger - He will admit him to gardens beneath which rivers flow; but whoever turns away - He will punish him with a painful punishment.”

The lame man is not skilled at a trade, so he relies on a deficient income and lives from it. If a man sees a lame woman, he will obtain a deficient matter; likewise if a woman sees a lame man, she will obtain a deficient matter. A lame old man is the dreamer's grandfather or his friend, and there is some deficiency in him. If he sees that he is walking on one leg, having placed one on top of the other, he will save half his wealth and work with the other half. Lameness is also trickery and the emergence of treachery and scheming.
