Whoever sees that he grew tall in a dream will increase in knowledge and wealth. If the dreamer is a ruler, his rule will strengthen and he will conduct himself well in it; if he is a merchant, his trade will profit.

Whoever sees that his stature grew beyond the normal limit, his death is near and he will fall from his rank. A king who sees that his stature has grown tall, his reign will last and he will be victorious over his enemies; if he is seeking sovereignty, he will attain it. Tall stature signifies long life, but if it grows beyond the limit it signifies death; likewise short stature signifies death, because of nearness to the ground. A short stature becoming tall signifies trial and strife, and it may signify stinginess and putting on a show of greatness and power. There is no good in a tall stature that becomes short, for it signifies a fall in standing or the nearness of death.

Whoever sees that he cooked a dish over fire and it became done will attain his wish and become the talk of people; if it did not become done, he will not attain his wish. Cooking is stirring up a matter that benefits him; if the dish is done, it is provision. Whoever cooks something raw is in a matter [that is not finished] unless it gets done, is ladled out and eaten. All foods are provisions except harisa [wheat-and-meat porridge] and 'asida [flour pudding]. If the dish is cooked with mutton, it is a good life with honor and generosity from a lawful source. If with beef, a good life from useful work. If with the flesh of a beast of prey, it is authority over unjust people, with fear and loathing. If with dog meat, it is a lowly authority; if it has fat, he will gain unlawful money; if it has no fat, a base livelihood with poverty and deprivation. If with the flesh of birds, it is authority, or trade, or lawful earnings with rich and noble people. If with the flesh of birds of prey, it is trade or authority from oppressive people, with unlawful money.
