Flying طيران

In a dream it is travel; if it is on one's back, it is travel in comfort. Flying, for someone who is not a traveler, is unemployment. Whoever flies from one roof to another moves from one eminent man to another eminent man, and whichever of the two roofs is higher is of higher standing and greater prestige. It is also said that the roof is a woman, so whoever sees that will move from one woman to another. When a woman sees that she flew from her house to the house of a man she knows, she will marry that man. Whoever flies from a house he knows to a house he does not know, far from the wall, will die, for it is the house of the Hereafter. When a prisoner flies in his dream, he will get out of prison. When a slave sees that he flew, he will be freed; and when a slave sees that he flew out of a window or over a wall, he is a runaway. It is also said that flying, if it is with wings, is travel; and if it is without wings, it is a move from one affair to another or from one place to another. When a stranger sees that he flew, he will be taken back to his country. It is also said that he will travel a great deal. Whoever flies with the birds in his dream will keep company with strangers. Whoever is a person of delusions and wishful thinking and sees that he flew, his dream is meaningless. Whoever races a person, flies and outstrips him will overpower him, and the winner's standing will rise because of his flying.

(Whoever sees) that he flew over a mountain will attain sovereignty and in it will overcome difficult kings without effort, and they will submit to him.

(Whoever sees) that he is flying: if he is fit for authority, he will attain authority; and if he lands on something, he will take possession of that thing. If he is not fit for that, he will commit an error in his religion and fall ill. If in his flight he reached what he wished for, he will obtain good on his journey.

(Whoever sees) that he disappeared into the sky and did not return will die. Whoever flies from his house to an unknown house will move from his house to his grave. If he flew in the air, he will fall ill until he is close to death, then he will recover. If he flew from low to high without wings, he will obtain a wish and rise in proportion to how high he went. If he flew as a dove flies in the air, having power over the people of the earth, harming whom he wishes and benefiting whom he wishes among them, he will attain sovereignty, honor and elevation. If flying from town to town or from place to place is heavy for him, and he can neither harm nor benefit and seeks nothing, yet he is happy with that, he is wishing for wealth.

(Whoever sees) that he flew from one land to another will attain honor and see what delights his eyes.

(Whoever sees) that he flies in level flight, his affairs will be set straight without toil.

(Whoever sees) that he is flying, having risen from the ground with his head toward the sky and his feet toward the ground, that is a sign of good for him; and the higher he rises above the ground, the higher his standing among the companions with whom he takes refuge. For the rich and for officials it indicates leadership they will attain. For one living abroad it indicates his return to his country, though it may indicate that he will never set foot in his country.

(Whoever sees) that he is flying and has two wings, it is a sign of good for all people: if he is a slave, it indicates his freedom; and for the poor it indicates much wealth that they will earn. If he sees that he is flying without wings and has risen into the air, that indicates fear and hardship that will befall him. Likewise if he sees that he is flying over houses and alleys, it indicates turmoil, though his own affairs are stable. If he sees that he is flying toward the sky: if he is a slave, he will come to the people of great houses. If he is flying with the birds, he will be among strangers. This dream is bad for wicked people; for those who fish in the water it indicates a torment that will occur; and it may indicate his crucifixion. If he sees that he is flying, not risen high in the air, only enough to be recognized, or just above the ground, that indicates a journey and a return from a journey.

(Whoever sees) that he flies by his own will and stops flying when he wishes, it indicates much good and the easing of the work he does. If a slave sees that he is flying in his master's house, it indicates that he is better than everyone in that house; and if he sees that he fell from that flight, it indicates that after that good he will leave his master's house. If he sees that he is flying and goes out of the house, it indicates his death; if he sees that he flies out through the door, it indicates that he will be sold; and if he sees that he flies out through the window, it indicates that he will run away.

(Whoever sees) that he is flying while lying on his back: if he is traveling by sea or intends to, it indicates good for him; for other people it indicates unemployment; and for the sick it indicates their death.

(Whoever sees) that he is trying to fly but cannot, or that he is flying with his head toward the ground and his feet toward the sky, it indicates much evil that will befall him. If a sick person sees that he is flying, it indicates his death. For horsemen it indicates their good movement and that they do not stay settled in one place; and for prisoners and captives it indicates their release and liberation.

(Whoever sees) that he is flying in a litter while lying asleep on a bed or something else, it indicates a severe illness that will befall him, or his death, or that a disease or affliction will strike his shins.

(Whoever sees) that he is flying between heaven and earth will indulge in many wishes.

(Whoever sees) that he is flying from place to place, and his flight was across the breadth of the sky, will go riding or on foot to a place he is used to walking to, or will make a journey and attain elevation in proportion to how high he rose above the ground in his flight. If he sees flying a great deal, his wishes and hopes may be many. Flying may be the pursuit of knowledge for a seeker of knowledge, or the pursuit of sin and evil for the people of evil, or the pursuit of a matter he has been striving for; or it may be lightness and recklessness that come from him when he is angry; or it may be joy and happiness, as people say, 'So-and-so flew with joy.' Flying indicates taking omens and pessimism. If he flew with wings, he will travel with honor and authority; if without wings, he will make an arduous journey with little rest, or he is one who is excessive against himself (in sin), especially if he flew from a good place and landed in a bad place. If he flew from an ugly place and landed in something better than it, such as the sea, a beautiful mountain, a field of crops or a mosque, it is the opposite of that.
