Grief (distress) غم

In a dream it is joy after sadness.

Whoever sees his friends in straits and grief, it signifies straits and grief that will befall him. Grief signifies illness, and worry on account of his family or because of being bound to something. It may signify the cancellation of gains and refraining from activity. If he is in any of that in waking life, it signifies good, the reverse of what we mentioned. Grief is happiness; it is also said it is grief itself.
