Backbiting (speaking ill of others) غيبة للغير

In a dream it signifies the wiping out of blessings, because backbiting devours good deeds as fire devours firewood.

Whoever sees that he is backbiting someone: if the backbiting is about poverty, poverty will come back upon him; if it is about a scandal, the scandal will come back upon him; and likewise with anything else, it will come back upon him. Backbiting in a dream returns its harm to the one who does it: whoever backbites someone about something will be afflicted with that very thing.
