In a dream it is wealth. Whoever sees that he passed hard, solid excrement will spend money while his body is healthy. Liquid excrement signifies great expenditure. Whoever defecates while people are looking at him, let him beware of a scandal coming from him or of ugly speech. Whoever defecates unintentionally and picks up the excrement and carries it will receive dinars in the amount of that excrement.

Whoever defecates on the bed will divorce his wife or fall into a long illness. Excrement is unlawful wealth because of its foul smell. Whoever wades in excrement will fall into worry. Whoever falls into a latrine will be imprisoned. Whoever soils himself will fall into a sin, a humiliation, or ugly, base speech. Excrement is also food that has become worm-eaten and rotten. The passing of excrement is deliverance from a sin, and the passing of excrement also signifies the departure of a guest. Excrement in a dream is a sign of a man's wealth or of his secret that he does not reveal. Excrement may signify travel, because of His saying, the Exalted:
“O you who have believed, do not approach prayer while you are intoxicated until you know what you are saying or in a state of janābah, except those passing through [a place of prayer], until you have washed [your whole body]. And if you are ill or on a journey or one of you comes from the place of relieving himself or you have contacted women [i.e., had sexual intercourse] and find no water, then seek clean earth and wipe over your faces and your hands [with it]. Indeed, Allāh is ever Pardoning and Forgiving.”
Quran 4:43 · Saheeh International
[al-ghāʾiṭ originally means a low-lying open place one goes out to]. It also signifies single combat (mubāraza), and relieving oneself (barāz) [wordplay: barāz "going out to open ground; excrement" / mubāraza "dueling"] signifies fulfilling a need. It signifies the removal of internal illnesses, and it signifies thoughts and obsessive whisperings, the return of deposits, and reaching the end of what one seeks. If its smell becomes apparent, or it soils his garment, or it comes out only with hard straining, that signifies worries, troubles, bad reputation, strain, financial penalties, and miscarriage for pregnant women. The thin (loose) kind is relief from straits for one who needs it. If he is soiled with human excrement, he has taken on (the other's) debt or been entrusted with it [text uncertain]. Whoever sees that he is defecating, his worry will go away; if he is a man of wealth, he will pay the alms on his wealth. Whoever passes solid excrement will spend some of his wealth in good health; if it is liquid, he will spend most of his wealth. If that is in a known place, such as the lavatory, his spending is known and done out of desire; if it is an unknown place, he will spend unlawful wealth on what is not known, for which he will be neither rewarded nor thanked, and all of that willingly. Whoever defecates in his clothes will commit an indecency; if people look down on him, it is an ugly saying; if it is in the lavatory, it is relief from worry, settling of a debt, or a necessary expense. If he defecates in his trousers, he will be angry with his wife and pay her dowry, or give her money he had taken from her. If he defecates in them unintentionally and carries it in his hand, he will be granted dinars in proportion to the excrement, from accumulated unlawful money, because nothing is filthier than excrement. If he defecates in his shirt, he will be angry because of his condition and situation. If he defecates while lying stretched out in his shirt or his shawl (ṭaylasān), he will commit a sin.

Whoever sees that he is defecating in busy markets, bathhouses or gatherings, it signifies the anger of God the Exalted and of the angels upon him, a great loss, the exposure of what he hides, and a deficiency that will befall him. If he defecates on a rubbish heap, on the seashore, or in a place where that is not objectionable, it is a sign of good and of the departure of worry and pain. If he sees a known person throwing excrement at him, that signifies enmity or disagreement in opinion, and injustice befalling him from the one who threw it, and great harm. Being smeared with excrement is illness or fear, and it is a sign of good only for one whose deeds are ugly.

If he defecates in the wilderness and birds or wild beasts pick up his excrement: if he is a traveler, he will be robbed on the road and thieves will take his money. If a great deal of excrement comes out of him, resembling mud or a flood, he will be struck by worry or fear of a ruler. If the excrement is hot and he falls into it, he will fall gravely ill and then recover, or he will be accused of theft.
Whoever sees that he passed many worms resembling snakes, his dependants will increase and enmity from them will appear toward him.
