Dream meaning · al-Nabulsi

Forgiveness of sin

In a dream, for one who deserves punishment for it, it is a sign of charity or an act of expiation, because of His saying, the Exalted:

“Say to those who have disbelieved [that] if they cease, what has previously occurred will be forgiven for them. But if they return [to hostility] - then the precedent of the former [rebellious] peoples has already taken place.”

Quran 8:38 · Saheeh International

And His saying, the Exalted:

“Say, [O Muḥammad], to those who have believed that they [should] forgive those who expect not the days of Allāh [i.e., of His retribution] so that He may recompense a people for what they used to earn.”
