Cutting off the hand in a dream signifies abandoning the prayer, or the amputee's being freed from begging by wealth that he attains, or repentance. Cutting off a hand and a foot on opposite sides is corruption in religion. Cutting off the nose and the ear is a sign of a crime, and may signify poverty and the cutting off of news. Cutting out the tongue is the refuting of an argument, or doing him a kindness by cutting off his tongue from begging.

Whoever sees that his limbs have been cut off will travel, and some of his family, children or tribe will be scattered in the lands. We may mention the cutting of each limb in its own place under its own heading.
