Year ('ām) عام

Seeing it in a dream signifies a trial that the dreamer will see in himself or in others, because of His saying, the Exalted:

أَوَلَا يَرَوْنَ أَنَّهُمْ يُفْتَنُونَ فِى كُلِّ عَامٍ مَّرَّةً أَوْ مَرَّتَيْنِ ثُمَّ لَا يَتُوبُونَ وَلَا هُمْ يَذَّكَّرُونَ

“Do they not see that they are tried every year once or twice but then they do not repent nor do they remember?”

If people are in drought, it signifies an increase of good. Discussion of the year (sana) has already come in the chapter of the letter Sin.
