They are the lowly birds that do not hunt. Seeing them in a dream indicates people who have no moral worth and no benefit in them. Seeing the fallen, that is, the downed birds, with their owners indicates amusement and play, high stations, joys and delights, and victory over enemies for one who owns them or any of them. Seeing the domineering kinds of birds in a dream is evil, misery and fines. Seeing those that are tame with people is a sign of spouses and children. Seeing those that do not become tame with humans is a sign of associating with opponents and non-Arabs. Seeing a trained bird of prey is might, authority, benefits and provision. Seeing those whose flesh is eaten is easy gain. Seeing those with sweet voices is righteous people. Seeing the males among birds is men, and the females are women, and the unknown ones are strangers. Seeing those in which there is both good and evil is relief after hardship or ease after difficulty. Seeing those that appear both by night and by day is a sign of boldness and intense pursuit. Seeing those that appear at night and stay still by day indicates hiding and protection. Seeing those that are evil without good indicates enemies; and seeing those that are good without evil indicates safety from fear, lawful provision and clothing. Seeing those that appear by day and rest at night indicates a livelihood from various kinds of work and spying for news. Seeing what has no value in waking life, if it has value in the dream, indicates usury and consuming wealth wrongfully, and the reverse. Seeing what does not fly, if it flies in the dream, indicates breaking covenants and immorality, and the reverse. Seeing those that appear at one time and not another: if it appeared out of its season, it is a sign of putting things where they do not belong, or of opposing enemies, strange news, and plunging into what does not concern a person.
