Sale (being sold) بيع

Whoever sees in his dream that he is being sold or being auctioned will be honored and obtain might and authority; if a man buys him, worry will befall him. The higher his price, the more honored he will be.

Whoever sees that he is being sold, and he is one of the slaves, the poor, the captives, or those who wish their condition to change, that is a sign of good. As for the wealthy, the sick and those holding leadership positions, that is evil. The difference between a person being offered for sale and being bought is that offering for sale may happen to anyone [anyone may offer him], while the actual sale may not occur, only the offering. Sale differs in interpretation according to what is sold; whatever is evil for the seller is good for the buyer. It is also said that sale is the passing away of ownership, and the seller is a buyer and the buyer a seller. Selling is preferring [what is bought] over what is sold: if he sells what indicates this world, he has preferred the hereafter; [if he sells what indicates the hereafter,] he has preferred this world over it; otherwise he exchanges one condition for another according to what is sold and the price. The sale of a free man is a reign and a good outcome, because of the story of Joseph, peace be upon him. Sale in a dream is giving up what he sold and desiring what he bought. If in the dream he sold something worthless and bought something precious while he was on a military campaign, he will die a martyr. If he sold something precious and bought something worthless, it indicates a bad end, God the Exalted protect us; he may prefer this world over the hereafter, or a slave-girl over a free woman, or disobedience over obedience. Sale may indicate the humiliation of a free man if he is sold in the dream, but his outcome will be praiseworthy, by analogy with the story of Joseph, peace be upon him.
