Shield ترس

In a dream it is protection and a safeguard. It also indicates fasting; he, peace be upon him, said: "Fasting is a shield." It may [indicate] a friend skilled in argument. The shield is a well-mannered, generous, obedient man, a match for his brethren in every virtue, protecting them and helping them in hardships and evils. It is an oath by which one swears, [or] a child. A white shield is a man of religion; a green one, a man of piety; a red one, a man of amusement and joy; a black one, a man of wealth and lordship; and a multicolored one, [a man of] mixed affairs. If he sees weapons along with the shield, his enemies will not reach him with harm. If a craftsman or a merchant sees a shield placed by his goods, in his shop or with his customers, he is a man who swears a lot and has made his oath a shield for his selling, buying and dealings, so that they sell better. If he has a son, it is a son who will spare him all burdens and protect him from evils and hardships.

Whoever sees a shield and shields himself with it will take refuge with a strong man whose support he will rely on, and who will not side with his enemies. A shield, if it is of value, indicates a wealthy, beautiful woman; and if it is of no value, it indicates an ugly woman.
