In a dream it is an important, high-ranking man, and the habitation around it is his family. Whoever sees level land with a rise or a hill standing up from it, that hill is a man who has worldly abundance in proportion to the level land around him. If he sees an enclosure [or: danger] around it, it is his strength, his religion or his good dealings. If he sees that he is standing on that hill or raised spot and has taken hold of it, he will rise once, or rely on a man whose condition is as I have described, attach himself to him, and that man will bear him according to how firmly he holds on to him; or he may be in charge of him. That rise on which he stood may be a building that its owner builds and oversees, if there is something along with it that indicates the surplus and comforts of this world.
Whoever sees as if he is traveling across hills will be saved.
Whoever sees as if he has climbed a hill will be placed in authority over a religious man.
Whoever sees that he is on top of a high place will obtain elevation, authority, leadership, an increase in his wealth, and might or standing.
Whoever sees as if he is coming down from a high place will be struck by worry, grief and humiliation.
Whoever sees as if he is on top of a hill of mud will obtain kingship, authority and benefit. Since the earth indicates people, because they were created from it, every rise, elevation, mound and height indicates one whose renown is raised above the common people through lineage, knowledge, wealth or authority. Hills and rises may indicate noble places, high ranks and fine mounts. Whoever sees himself on top of any of them: if he is sick, that is his bier, especially if people are beneath him; and if he is not sick and is seeking marriage, he will marry a noble woman of high renown who has worldly abundance in proportion to the land the rise covers and the amount of earth and sand. If he sees that he is preaching to people from on top of it or giving the call to prayer, if he is fit for kingship he will attain it, or judgeship, or the issuing of legal rulings, or the call to prayer, or preaching, or fame or renown, because these are the stations of the nobles among people.
Whoever sees level land with a rise and a hill in it, it is a man with renown among people in proportion to the level land around it. For one who sits on it, the hill is a position. If it is a dunghill, it is this world, which contains a bit of everything; it may indicate a wife, or a common woman, or a slave-girl who handles filth. If the hill is not a dunghill but a lofty hill without dung, or an unknown one, it indicates high standing together with safety from liabilities.
