The keeper of the Gardens [of Paradise], upon him be peace. Seeing him in a dream is lasting joy. Seeing him also signifies the king's treasurer and his messenger with good tidings, the fulfillment of a promise, the meeting of needs and the answering of prayers. One whose ruler is angry with him will win his approval [ridwan, wordplay on the name], especially if Ridwan gives him some of the fruits of Paradise, clothes him in some of its garments, or faces him or shows gladness at him. That and the like is a sign of God the Exalted's good pleasure with him and of blessings shown to him in private and in public. Seeing him signifies blessing, good living and approval from God the Exalted.
Whoever sees that he is in Paradise and the angels greet him and come in to him from every gate, God will forgive him and pardon him, and through long patience he will attain good.
Whoever sees Ridwan, upon him be peace, it signifies the removal of his worry, the opening of his heart and the goodness of his life.
