In a dream, if the dreamer recites over a sick person something that has come in the Sunna or something from the Quran, it signifies safety from ailments and the warding off of worries and sorrows. If he recites something else, it signifies lying in speech or showing off in deeds; if the dreamer is a craftsman, he cheats people in his craft; if a scholar, he withholds sincere advice from them or makes a show of lenient rulings; and if a judge, he judges falsely.

Whoever sees that he is having an incantation recited over him or recites one, incantation is falsehood and lies, except an incantation from the Quran containing 'In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.'
