Dream meaning · al-Nabulsi

Mirage of the desert سراب القفر

In a dream it is a vain matter that will not be accomplished.

Whoever sees a mirage while he has a hope for something he is longing for will be denied it and will not obtain it. A mirage in a dream is hypocrisy and unbelief in religion, or an inclination toward religion, or an inclination toward this world and its adornments. Seeing a mirage may signify wishing and hoping for what one will not attain. If the dreamer is a witness, he will be a false witness, or (if a scholar) a scholar of heretical innovation. The mirage may be news with no truth to it, and it may signify the appearance of a banner in the direction in which the mirage was seen.
