In a dream it indicates the mosque, just as the mosque indicates the market. It may indicate war, in which some people profit and some lose; God Almighty called jihad a trade in His saying, Glorified is He:
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ هَلْ أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَىٰ تِجَـٰرَةٍ تُنجِيكُم مِّنْ عَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ
“O you who have believed, shall I guide you to a transaction that will save you from a painful punishment?”
Quran 61:10 · Saheeh International
(to the end of the verse); so the people of the markets struggle against one another.
(Whoever sees) himself in an unknown market where he missed a deal, or made a profit or a loss on some merchandise: if in waking life he is on a military campaign, he will miss martyrdom and turn his back in flight; if he is on pilgrimage, he will miss it or it will be spoiled for him; if he is a seeker of knowledge, it will be interrupted, or he will miss an appointment in it, or he is seeking it for other than God Almighty; and if he is not engaged in any of these, he will miss the Friday prayer in the mosque. As for a known market: whoever sees it thriving with people, or sees a fire in it, or a clear stream flowing through its middle, or straw stuffed along its sides, or a pleasant breeze blowing through it, the livelihood of its people will flow abundantly, profits will come to them and brisk demand will come to them. If he sees the people of the market drowsy, or sees the shops closed, or sees that spiders have spun webs over them or over what is sold in them, there will be stagnation in it, or idleness will befall its people. If he sees a market move to another market, the condition of the one that moved will change into the nature of what it moved to; like the cloth merchants' market in the dispersal and outflow of goods. If he sees potters and jar makers in it, their profits will decrease and their earnings weaken. If he sees sellers of harisa (meat porridge) and frying pans in it, a trial will descend upon it, such as fire, looting, demolition or the like. Some said: the market is this world, and whoever sees it spacious will obtain an abundant worldly life. It is also said that the market indicates turmoil and unrest because of the common people who gather in it. As for one who lives from the market, it is a sign of good for him if he sees many people and much business in it; and if the market is dead, it indicates unemployment for the traders. Markets in a dream indicate gains, provisions, new clothes and recovery from illnesses. Markets may indicate lying, debauchery, worry and misery. They indicate the bathhouse and every place of gathering, such as the mosque, churches and synagogues. The market indicates the sea, which gathers kinds of fish that eat one another. The market indicates honor (reputation). For people of spiritual detachment, the market indicates falling into what is forbidden or inclining toward the world; it may be a sign of humility and breaking the ego, especially if in the dream he has something with him that he is carrying. If in the market he is remembering God Almighty, raising his voice with it, it indicates that he enjoins good and forbids evil. If he finds the markets empty of people and their people dead, it indicates stagnation, injustice, disasters striking wealth, or high prices. It may indicate the obligations that require one to enter them, such as marriage for the unmarried, having more children, knowledge, working in a craft, seeking the pilgrimage, paying zakat, jihad in the path of God, night prayer, buying and selling, pledges or loans for the reasons we have mentioned. A person's market may indicate his book, his preaching, his recitation, his wisdom, his position, his amusement and play, or an error in his preaching and recitation.
