Hyena ضبع

In a dream it is an unjust, scheming enemy whose affairs go backward. The female hyena is a base woman, an old sorceress.

Whoever sees that he eats the flesh of a female hyena has been bewitched without knowing it, and his release from the magic is to be hoped for. If he rides her, he will marry a woman. The lame female hyena signifies a sorceress, and the wife of an unknown man of no lineage and no renown; it also signifies idle people and deceivers.

Whoever sees that he rode a hyena will obtain authority. Seeing the hyena signifies exposing secrets and meddling in what does not concern one, and so does the female hyena. The hyena may signify an ambiguous hermaphrodite. If it signifies a wife or a slave-woman, she is ugly in appearance. The female hyena is an evil, ugly, treacherous woman, so whoever sees that he rode a female hyena, it is a woman like that. Whoever sees that he shot a female hyena with an arrow will correspond with such a woman; if he threw a stone or a pellet at her, he will slander her [accuse her of unchastity]; if he struck her with a sword, he will lash her with his tongue. Whoever drinks her milk, she will betray him and be unfaithful to him.

Whoever sees that he obtained some of a hyena's hide, bones or hair will obtain money from such a woman.

Whoever sees that the hyena was male, in interpretation it is a forsaken, deprived man, like one defeated.
