Dream meaning · al-Nabulsi

Frog ضفدع

In a dream it is a devout man striving in obedience to God the Exalted.

Whoever sees that he is with frogs, his companionship with his relatives and neighbors will be good.

Whoever sees that he eats frog's flesh will obtain a small benefit from his relatives and neighbors. Frogs in a dream signify deceitful sorcerers; for one whose livelihood comes from water, they are a sign of good; and whoever eats a frog will attain sovereignty.

Whoever sees that the frogs have left the town, punishment will be lifted from the town through prayer and supplication. Catching frogs is overcoming one's peers and equals. Frogs may signify guards at the gates of rulers, or Quran reciters, or poor people or ascetics devoted to glorifying God. Frogs signify the common rabble and moving from place to place.

Whoever sees that he obtained a frog will associate with a free, righteous and virtuous man.

Whoever sees that a swarm of frogs descended on a land or a town, God's punishment will descend on that place until God the Exalted repels it. It is also said that the frog is a free, chaste woman of religion and humility who harms no one.
