Dream meaning · al-Nabulsi

Hermitage (monk's cell, minaret) صومعة

In a dream it signifies solitude, good conduct, seclusion, withdrawal, cutting off pleasures, divorcing spouses and forsaking brethren. Seeing it may signify illnesses and giving up desires for food and drink; if the dreamer is sick, he will die and his pleasures will be cut off. Whoever takes control of his hermitage or builds it in his dream will attain a rank and his standing will be raised. A hermitage, for one who sees it in a dream beautiful, tall and new, is a wife or something good — especially if a king sees it so in his dream while he is setting out against an enemy, in which case it may signify his subduing and overcoming him. The hermitage signifies being away from home, loneliness and cutting off companions, and seeing it signifies concealment. The hermitage also signifies the ruler, the chief and anyone of renown; so whatever befalls it — destruction, collapse or the like — its interpretation returns to the one it signifies.
