In a dream it is a woman's husband. For a woman it is her covering and her adornment: its width is the ampleness of her condition, its qualities are the abundance of his wealth, its whiteness is his religion and his standing. If a woman sees a cloak with bird patterns on her head, or a garment with bird patterns on her, her enemies want to make her fly off (be scandalized) through falsehood and deceit concerning marriage. If the head covering is black and worn out, her husband is poor and foolish. Whatever happens to the head covering is the woman's misfortune in her husband; if she has no husband, it is harm to her wealth or a misfortune in a guardian of hers, such as a brother or paternal uncle. If a man sees that he put on a woman's head-veil, he will obtain a slave girl as a servant. If a woman sees that she took her head covering off her head in a gathering of people, she will be tried with a matter that strips her of modesty. If she sees that her head covering went away, her husband will leave her; then her husband will return to her. The head covering is a person's religion.
