Dream meaning · al-Nabulsi

Khuff (Leather Boot) خف

In a dream it signifies a servant, money, and protection from hardships; if there is a weapon with it, it is protection from enemies.

(Whoever sees) that he put on a pair of boots will travel by sea or in a litter, because the feet are kept from the ground. Wearing a tight boot signifies worry, constriction and being pressed for a debt; a tight boot may signify fetters on the feet. If he sees that he took it off, the worry and constriction will leave him. Wearing a boot with a scholar's shawl (taylasan) signifies an increase in standing and ample provision. It is also said that seeing a boot at the approach of winter signifies good, and at its end or in summer signifies worry.

(Whoever sees) that his boot fell into a well or burned, his wife will die. A new boot, if there is no weapon with it, is long(-lasting protection). If it is weak (perhaps "tight"), it is a debt he will be pressed for; if it is loose, it is worry concerning money; if it is worn out, it is the weakest of protection. A boot is non-Arab money in coin, or a journey. If he sees a boot he has not worn, he will obtain money from non-Arab people. Losing the boot, if it relates to protection, is loss of rank; if it relates to debt and worry, it is relief and deliverance from them. Whoever wears a plain boot will travel a far or near journey, or marry a virgin; if the boot is torn under his foot, the woman will be previously married. If the boot fell into a well or was lost, he will divorce her; if he sold it, she will die. If both boots were stolen from him, he has been tried with two worries. If a wolf or a fox leapt on his boot, they are two wicked men pursuing his wife. If he put on a soled boot, he will enjoy comfort from a woman. If he put on a boot with a patch on its sole, he will marry a woman who has a child. Whoever loses an old boot, the worry of debt will leave him. The boot is interpreted as livestock: whatever happens to the boot happens to his livestock. Whoever loses one boot will lose half his wealth; and if both boots go together, all his wealth will go.

(Whoever sees) that he is putting his foot into a boot will marry a woman. It is also said that an old boot is debt and imprisonment. The boot is a wife. If he sees that he found a boot, it signifies his being preoccupied with his worldly life over his Hereafter, or with his voluntary worship over his obligatory worship, and with a meager living over an abundant one. A camel's foot-pad in a dream is strength and journeys; in its roundness it may signify the full moon, or the sea, or paving the way for affairs and good preparation.
