Whoever sees in his dream that he put on woolen clothes will become ascetic and call people to renounce this world and encourage them toward the work of the Hereafter. Every garment associated with green — its color benefits and does not harm. Whoever sees that he put on green: green for the living is religion and worship, and for the dead, a good state with God Most High. It is also said that whoever wears green will be given an inheritance. White clothes are good for whoever wears them in a dream; but for craftsmen they signify much idleness, and the higher the value of the clothes, the more they signify idleness, because craftsmen do not wear white clothes when they want to work.
(Whoever sees) himself wearing a black garment when he is not accustomed to wearing it will meet with some of what he dislikes; for one accustomed to wearing it in waking life, it is honor, authority, wealth and leadership. Whoever wears it without any white and polished (glossy) will obtain awe and sovereignty.
(Whoever sees) himself wearing red clothes will obtain much money on which a right of God Most High is due, so let him fear God and pay the zakat. If a woman sees that she is wearing a red garment, it is her joy. If a king sees that he is wearing a red garment, he will be occupied with amusement and play, weakness will enter the governance of his kingdom, and the enemy will covet it. A red garment signifies death for the sick and harm for the poor. Safflower-dyed clothes and all similar dyes signify ulcers for some people and fever for others. Red clothing for women is good only for one who is unmarried and for one who is not about to go out to single combat.
(Whoever sees) that he wore these clothes on feast days and at gatherings, there is nothing in it. If he sees himself wearing a reversible garment of two colors, or a two-faced taylasan (shawl), he is a man who humors both the people of religion and the people of the world. If it is washed, it is poverty and debt; if it is new but dirty, it is debt and sins he has earned.
(Whoever sees) himself wearing clothes patterned in colors, that is good for one who sells aromatic plants or whose craft involves drinks; for the rest of people it signifies turmoil, hardship and the appearance of hidden things. (Whoever sees) that he put on a thin garment beneath his clothes, money will come to him that he will save, and his inner self will be better than his outward appearance. If he put it on over his clothes, it is disliked, an error in his religion and open wickedness. A thick garment is better than a thin one. If a woman sees that she put on a thin garment, it is her honor; if she put on a coarse garment, it is her toil. Clothes woven with gold and silver are righteousness in religion and worldly life and the attainment of wishes.

Wearing new clothes is, for the rich, increase and livelihood; for the poor, wealth; and for the debtor, paying off debt. Whoever bathes and puts on new clothes, his distress will go and he will obtain good. Whoever bathes and does not put on new clothes after bathing, the relief he obtains will not settle his affair in a way that suits him. If the new clothes are torn in a way that could not be mended in waking life, it signifies that no child will be born to their owner; if they can be mended, their wearer is under a spell. Whoever wears two worn-out, tattered garments, it is his death.
(Whoever sees) that he put on a worn-out garment will be struck by distress.
(Whoever sees) that his garment was torn widthwise, his honor will be torn and worry will strike him from an evil man; if it was torn lengthwise, his affair will be relieved. If he knows the one who tore it, it is that very person; if he does not know him, harm will reach him for which he will become notorious in his affairs. If he sees his garment torn, his religion will be torn or his living diminished. Ugly patched clothes signify loss and idleness.
