In a dream they are wealth and much fertility for whoever obtains them. The fig tree is a rich man of much wealth, beneficial, with whom the enemies of Islam take shelter, because snakes take shelter in it; and among fruits there is nothing equal to it.
Whoever sees that he is eating figs, his offspring will multiply. It is also said that figs are provision coming from the direction of Iraq, and accumulated wealth from which its owner prospers without toil; its effect will appear on him and cannot be hidden, because of the benefit of figs. Eating a few is provision without difficulty. Every fig eaten or taken is a thousand dinars or ten thousand dirhams that will fall into his hand. It is also said that figs are cash. It is also said that the fig fruit and its leaves are worry, sorrow and regret, so whoever eats them will be struck by worry over something that has come to him or will come. It is also said that figs are interpreted as the righteous and the best of people, provision, ease, complete happiness and comfortable blessing. Black figs in their season are good, and white figs are good. If he sees figs out of their season, it indicates envy that will confront the dreamer. Figs may indicate an oath [as in the Quranic oath "By the fig"]; if they are black, the oath may be false. They may indicate misery and sorrow and moving from the highest place to the lowest. They may indicate regret, just as regret was indicated by eating the fig [of Adam].
