Dream meaning · al-Nabulsi

Familiar haunt (old abode) معهد

Whoever in a dream revisits the haunt he used to be familiar with, it indicates worry and trouble that bring to mind past pleasure or humiliation. Seeing haunts [ma'ahid] may be read with the mu vowel [mu'ahid, one who makes a covenant]; and it may indicate a pain that comes upon him [alam 'ahid], just as the word manazil [dwellings] suggests alam nazil [a pain that descends], and faqr [poverty] reverses into qafr [wasteland]. Seeing haunts in a dream may also indicate seeing them in waking life.
