Ear أذن

It is the seat of attentiveness and doubt [or: of rank], so in a dream it indicates a child, wealth and position. The ear may indicate knowledge, intellect and religion, and a king, family and kinsfolk by whom a person is adorned. The ear is hearing: whoever sees that his hearing became large or beautiful, or that light was coming out of it or being brought into it, it indicates his guidance, his obedience to God the Exalted and his accepting His command. If he sees it in the dream small, or a foul smell coming out of it or going into it, it indicates [turning away] from the truth and halting at what brings about the loathing of God the Exalted. Cutting off the ear or losing it is a sign of corruption. An extra ear may indicate permission [udhun, "ear" / idhn, "permission"] for the person in what he seeks: if it is a beautiful ear, what he seeks is good. Having many ears in a dream indicates many branches of knowledge, or that he does not stay steady in one condition. The ear may indicate the jewelry hung in it. If his ear became the ear of some animal, he will lose his position, his dignity will diminish, or his mind will become dull.

If he sees that he is putting his two fingers in his ears, it indicates his dying as an innovator. If the dreamer is upon innovation and error and sees that he is putting his fingers in his ears, it indicates his death while being resolved to abandon what he is committing, or he will become a muezzin [who puts his fingers in his ears while calling to prayer]. The king's ear is his spy. The ear indicates what things are stored in, such as a purse, a chest or a treasury; whatever increase or decrease happens to the ear applies to what we have mentioned. It is also said that the ear is a man's wife, his daughter or another [woman of his household], and he will part from her. If he sees that something was lost from it, it is an event that happens to one of them; and if he sees that it increased, it is an increase in their condition.

Whoever sees that his hearing is sound, it is a sign of his understanding, his knowledge, his health, his religiousness and his certainty. Whoever sees that he is deaf, it is corruption in his religion.

Whoever sees that he has half an ear, his wife will die. Whoever sees that his ear is cut off and no one knows of it, someone is deceiving his wife or his daughter; and if it returns sound as it was, both will repent and return to righteousness.

Whoever sees that he has only one ear will die soon. If he sees as if there is a ring hanging in his ear, he will marry off his daughter and she will bear a son. It is also said that the ear is religion: whoever sees as if he stuffed his ears with something, his dream indicates disbelief. Whoever sees that he has many ears turns away from the truth and does not accept it. It is also said that if he sees he has beautiful, matching ears, he will hear pleasing news; and if they are not matching and beautiful, he will hear disagreeable news. Whoever sees as if there are two eyes in his ears will go blind, and the things he used to perceive with his eyes he will hear with his ears. It is also said that whoever sees that he has many ears, that is praiseworthy for one who wants to have someone who obeys him, such as a wife, children and slaves. As for the rich, it indicates news that will come to them, praiseworthy if the ears are beautiful in shape, and otherwise blameworthy news. As for slaves and defendants in lawsuits, it indicates that the slave's servitude will continue and he will hear and obey; and for the claimant [defendant] it indicates that the judgment will be binding on him.
